The Inquisitors, in any case, guarantee the nobles that the twelve are sufficient to sentence Joan to death on the off chance that they can be demonstrated. Furthermore the Inquisitor tells the Earl that Joan will be the cause all her own problems, for her own words ruin her opportunity of opportunity. Joan is gotten and addressed by the appointed authorities. Wearing chains, she is demonstrating the strain of a long detainment and the tension of the preliminary. She is invulnerable to her doubting and is scarcely reasonable as she chatters about her dreams and voices. She says that she is eager to comply with the Church in the event that it doesn't solicit her to deny the presence from the voices. With his endorsement, Joan is taken from the court. The Earl of Warwick avoids Joans execution, yet de Stogumber goes to witness Joan being scorched at the stake. The Longest Day of the Year in Different Cities

In the Northern Hemisphere, the longest day of the year is always on or around June 21. This is because on this date, the suns rays are perpendicular to the Tropic of Cancer at 23Â °30 North latitude. This day is called the summer solstice and it happens twice a year: once in the Northern Hemisphere (June 21) and once in the Southern Hemisphere (December 21) where seasons and sunlight are the opposite of the Earths Northern Hemisphere. What Happens During the Summer Solstice? During the summer solstice, the earths circle of illumination or division between day and night runs from the Arctic Circle on the far side of the earth (in relation to the sun) to the Antarctic Circle on the near side of the earth. This means that the equator receives twelve hours of daylight, the North Pole and areas north of 66Â °30 N 24 hours of daylight, and the South Pole and areas south of 66Â °30 S 24 hours of darkness during this time (the South Pole receives 24 hours of sunlight during its summer solstice, the Northern Hemispheres winter solstice). June 20 to 21 is the start of summer and longest day of sunlight in the Northern Hemisphere and the start of winter and shortest day of sunlight in the Southern Hemisphere. Though it might seem like the summer solstice would also be when the sun rises earliest and sets latest, it is not. As you will see, the exact dates of the earliest sunrises and latest sunsets vary by location. Longest Days in the United States Take a look at the sunrises, sunsets, longest days, and hours of daylight information for the U.S. cities listed below. Note that dates have been rounded to the nearest minute in this list for a wider range but the longest days to the nearest second are always the Northern Hemispheres June 20 and 21. Anchorage, Alaska Earliest Sunrise: 4:20 a.m. from June 17 to 19Latest Sunset: 11:42 p.m. from June 18 to 25Longest Days: June 18 to 22Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 19 hours and 21 minutes Honolulu, Hawaii Earliest Sunrise: 5:49 a.m. from May 28 to June 16Latest Sunset: 7:18 p.m. from June 30 to July 7Longest Days: June 15 to 25Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 13 hours and 26 minutes Because it is closest to the equator, Honolulu has the shortest length of daylight during the summer solstice of all U.S. cities profiled here. This tropical location also has far less variation in daylight throughout the year, so even winter days have close to 11 hours of sunlight. Note which locations can be found in the Northern Hemisphere and which fall in the Southern Hemisphere. London, United Kingdom Earliest Sunrise: 4:43 a.m. from June 11 to 22Latest Sunset: 9:22 p.m. from June 21 to 27Longest Days: June 17 to 24Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 16 hours and 38 minutes Mexico City, Mexico Earliest Sunrise: 6:57 a.m. from June 3 to 7Latest Sunset: 8:19 p.m. from June 27 to July 12Longest Days: June 13 to 28Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 13 hours and 18 minutes Nairobi, Kenya Earliest Sunrise: 6:11 a.m. from November 3 to 7Latest Sunset: 6:52 p.m. from February 4 to June 14Longest Days: December 2 to January 10Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 12 hours and 12 minutes Nairobi, only 1Â °17 south of the equator, has exactly 12 hours of sunlight on June 21—the sun rises at 6:33 a.m. and sets at 6:33 p.m. Because the city is in the Southern Hemisphere, it experiences its longest day on December 21. Nairobis shortest days, occurring in mid-June, are just 10 minutes shorter than the longest days in December. The lack of diversity in Nairobis sunrise and sunset throughout the year provides a clear example of why lower latitudes dont require or benefit from Daylight Saving Time. Reykjavik, Iceland Earliest Sunrise: 2:55 a.m. from June 18 to 21Latest Sunset: 12:04 a.m. from June 21 to 24Longest Days: June 18 to 22Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 21 hours and 8 minutes If Reykjavik were just a few degrees to the north, it would fall within the Arctic Circle and experience 24 hours of daylight on the summer solstice. Tokyo, Japan Earliest Sunrise: 4:25 a.m. from June 6 to 20Latest Sunset: 7:01 p.m. from June 22 to July 5Longest Days: June 19 to 23Hours of Daylight on Longest Day: 14 hours and 35 minutes

Nurse Driven, Sleep Hygiene Protocol, A Source Of Anxiety...

The inability to sleep is a source of anxiety and stress for patients in the intensive care unit (ICU); this inability can lead to cardiorespiratory disturbances, immune system dysfunction, impaired wound healing, hormonal and metabolic imbalances, cognitive changes, and delirium. Through the use of quiet times and nursing actions that encourage sleep, or, sleep hygiene bundles, nurses can assist in improving sleep quality in the ICU. These bundles include noise and light reduction, scheduling routine procedures outside of reserved sleep times, the use of earplugs and eye masks, and the grouping of nursing care activities to minimize sleep interruptions. The aim of this proposal, therefore, will be to implement a nurse-driven, sleep hygiene protocol, in order to improve patient care by promoting quality sleep in ICU patients. Barriers to implementation include staff resistance to the concept, concerns regarding patient care during sleep times and difficulties in coordinating care with other units. Studies used to gather information for this proposal were published between the years of 2011 and 2016 and were found in several databases: Academic Search Complete, Medline, and OVID Journals. Keywords: ICU, intensive care unit, critical care, quiet time, noise, and nursing. Quiet Time in the ICU One of the top three sources of anxiety and stress for patients during an intensive care unit (ICU) stay is the inability to sleep (Kamdar, Needham, Collop, 2012). The paper shows that Christian Environmentalists believe that the earth was given to Man as a gift with certain conditions and that Man is not fulfilling these conditions by destroying the earth and annihilating species. There are many examples in the Bible of Christianitys environmental concerns. There is a broad belief in taking care of all of Gods creations, and we, as humans are to be the caretakers. God put the responsibility of caring for the earth with man. Man is required to take care of the resources God put on earth. The Bible warns us that those who destroy the earth will be destroyed themselves. God has put man to watch over his creation and it is our commitment to do so that portrays the ideas about nature in Christian beliefs. TOK Essay Topics - Choosing Your Topic

TOK Essay Topics - Choosing Your TopicIt is a great honor for students to be able to enter college with honors, the best possible GPA, and to have a TOK essay to write that will give them an edge over their peers. However, it is easy to get caught up in all of these accolades and forget to give some thought to TOK essay topics. The course is hard enough to take, and if a student forgets to write about something that can make them a better student, he or she is doing the entire class a disservice. In order to succeed in college, a student must have something to write about on their TOK essay. There are several TOK essay topics that students can cover. Many students write about sports, school, and other outside interests. A good way to tackle this is to pick one topic and then cover it head on, whether it is sports school, or another subject that is relevant to the subject of the school. As a bonus, students can use their topic as a springboard to be able to cover other topics that will tie into that one topic. This will be a very powerful method for students to be able to have something to write about on their TOK essay. It is also important to note that there are many topics that can be used as sources for an essay. For example, a TOK essay that discusses the school's policies on sexual harassment is one topic that can be used as a source for an essay. Student should research each topic and ask themselves, 'How am I going to use this topic?'As a side note, a TOK essay cannot only cover a topic that is covered in the class. A TOK essay should always be written from the student's point of view, and that will not always be in the same way that a professor's point of view would be. That means that a student can be very creative when writing a TOK essay. When selecting topics for a TOK essay, it is important to think about the style of the teacher. A teacher will often be very liberal when picking topics for his or her own class. The same thing applies to professors wh o teach multiple subjects. If a teacher writes lots of essays, students can look to his or her essays for ideas on what they should cover in their own.To help in getting started on writing a TOK essay, students should set up an outline. An outline is the skeleton of the essay, and it will make it easier for the student to follow the direction of the guide lines that are part of the guide lines section of the guide lines for the topic. By following the guide lines, the student will be able to keep track of the various parts of the essay and figure out what sections need to be covered in a particular section.Another tool for students to use is a TOK response card. An essay like this will make it easier for students to write their responses. It is easy to put into words what they want to say and the response cards are an easy way to put the different thoughts together. Students should be patient with their responses because they can't go off and write a response to something they did n ot write. One last thing to remember is that while writing a TOK essay, it is important to remember that what you are writing is a reflection of yourself. Although it is not your final grade, it is an important part of your education. If you try to give your best, you should be successful. Doing research beforehand will help with this, but remember to read carefully through the guide lines before you start writing to make sure that what you are writing doesn't conflict with what the guidelines say.
